FlashCount · Last updated 12 August 2026
FlashCount is a hot flash and night sweat log: one tap records an episode, and an optional severity and trigger tag can be added afterwards. Over time this builds pattern charts and a report you can share with a doctor. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Nothing. FlashCount has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDK and no advertising. We do not collect, transmit or sell personal information, and the developer has no access to your entries — see below.
Every entry you log — its time, and any severity or trigger tag you choose to add — along with your trigger preferences from onboarding and your app settings, is stored only on your device. None of it is uploaded to us or to any server; FlashCount doesn't have one. The developer cannot see your log, your patterns, or your report. Deleting the app deletes this data. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, this data may be included in your own Apple backup, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours — it stays in your personal iCloud account and is never sent to us.
FlashCount does not read from or write to the Health app, and it does not request any Health permissions. There is no Apple Watch companion app.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. To manage purchase entitlements we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and purchase events (such as which product was bought and when) issued by Apple. It does not receive your name, email address, or any hot flash, severity or trigger data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
FlashCount is not a medical device. It is a personal record-keeping tool for information only. Nothing in the app — including the pattern charts and the report screen — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis or treatment guidance. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your symptoms.
FlashCount is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
