Common questions

Which scoring does it use?
Side-out by default — only the serving team scores, and the call has three numbers. Rally scoring is there too, and you can switch in Settings.
Does it handle the 0-0-2 start?
Yes. The team serving first in a game gets one server, so the game opens at 0-0-2 and the serve passes on the first lost rally. You can turn the exception off for casual play.
How does it know who serves next?
It tracks where all four players are standing. Partners swap sides each time their team scores, and the player on the right takes the first serve of each side-out — so the app never has to guess.
What is "points per service turn"?
A service turn is the stretch your team holds the serve. Since only the serving team can score, that number decides matches more than total points does.
Is this an official refereeing tool?
No. It follows USA Pickleball side-out scoring, but line calls, faults and kitchen violations are yours to make.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. Pickleball Score has no accounts and no analytics; nothing leaves your phone.
How do I manage my subscription?
In your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
